Mr Lambert is the nicest consultant I have ever seen. He is extremely caring and professional. He listens closely to anything one has to say and provides dvice and reassurance accordingly. In terms of trustworthiness you do not need to worry. He is exteremely trustworthy and will not suggest any kind of operation or treatment without gathering all of the facts and assessing with scans as necessary Thank you very much for resolving my elbow and upper limb pain! :-)

Mr Lambert came into the waiting room to call me in and introduced himself to me and he put me at ease straightaway. I found him very easy to talk to he spoke to me very clearly in which way I could understand where he was coming from

Mr Lambert has known and cared for my daughter since she was six years old, a period to date of ten years. My daughter has Erbs Palsy, a condition affecting the arm and shoulder. Throughout this period, Mr Lambert has been extremely kind and caring, explaining everything clearly and concisely in words that both a child and adult understand. My daughter has undergone two surgical procedures with Mr Lambert over the last two years and in both occasions, the level of care, attention and engagement have been exceptional. I have no reservation in recommending Mr Lambert.

Simon Lambert is totally self-effacing but one soons realises that this is no reflection of his exceptional talent as both surgeon and man with the perfect sensitive bedside manner. Furthermore all his colleagues think he is great and he recommends only the most skilled of physiotherapists to carry on from where he has stopped. It is important to listen to what he says and to act as he recommends.

Profile

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in the shoulder and elbow. I also hold an honorary academic appointment within University College London. Having worked at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), a specialist orthopaedic hospital, where I created a research-active, educationally-acclaimed, science-based service, integrated with and recognising the extreme importance of expert rehabilitation, I have now moved to University College London Hospital. We enjoy a national reputation for clinical excellence and clinical research, which I fully expect to contribute to over the next decade. We value our national and international collaborations, and expect to develop these further with the evolution of the service. As a component of this effort my work with the AO has offered opportunities to younger colleagues while bringing the values of the AO to a wide variety of surgeons and therapists. Truly international collaboration and exchange of ideas clearly enhances and promotes the efficacy of patient-directed care and forms the basis for the motivation behind my development of the shoulder and elbow service at UCLH.
